| Ce filon microgranite rose
(Mg) est l'un de ceux qui, verticaux et orientés N50°E,
recoupent les roches volcaniques du Viséen inférieur
dans les pentes ouest du mont.

striking dikes intrusive in the Lower Visean volcanic
rocks in the western part of the mont. |
Réseau de diaclases affectant le microgranite: - D1 = direction N140°E, pendage 80° vers le sud, coincide avec l'allongement de l'affleurement. - D2 = direction N25°E, pendage 60° vers l'ouest - un troisième jeu de diaclases présente une direction N50°E et un pendage de 50° vers le sud. Set of diaclases jointing the microgranite: - D1 = striking N140°E, dipping 80° south, coinciding with the outcrop extension. - D2 = striking N25°E, dipping 60° west - un third set of joints strikes N50°E and dips 50° south. |
Microgranite constitué de phénocristaux sub-automorphes de quartz gris (Q) et de feldspaths blancs (plagioclase Pl) et roses (feldspath potassique). Ces phénocristaux sont entourés d'une auréole symplectique (association de quartz et feldspath en texture micrographique ou granophyrique). Le fond de la roche est fait également d'une association granophyrique de quartz et feldspaths, texture finement cristalline mais visible à la loupe.

Microgranite composed of subhedral phenocrysts of gray quartz (Q) and white (plagioclase Pl) and pink (K-feldspar) feldspars. Quartz and feldspars phenocrysts are rimed with a symplectic or micrographic or granophyric quartzo-feldspathic association. The fine grained and granophyric textured groundmass of the microgranite is visible with a magnifying-glass. |
